MISSION STATEMENT

IMG_6229.jpeg

The Meris Neuroendocrine Cancer Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals
affected by neuroendocrine cancer through advocacy, education, research, and compassionate
support. Our mission is to advance early detection, expand research into this rare and often
overlooked disease, and improve access to innovative treatment options and clinical studies.
We are committed to connecting patients and families with experienced oncologists, integrative
care specialists, palliative care, hospice resources, nutritional counseling, and emotional
support throughout every stage of their journey. We also support medical research, tissue
donation programs, and scientific collaboration to help accelerate discoveries that lead to earlier

diagnosis, better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.

Founded in memory of Melany Meris, age 45, whose neuroendocrine cancer went undiagnosed
until it had reached Stage IV, our foundation exists to ensure that others do not face the same
outcome. Her strength and courage inspire our commitment to raising awareness, advancing
research, and giving hope to patients and families facing this rare disease. Through her legacy,
we strive to save lives and create a future where neuroendocrine cancer is recognized earlier,

treated more effectively, and no family has to endure this journey alone.

OUR VISION

A world where neuroendocrine cancer is detected early, thoroughly researched, effectively
treated, and ultimately cured—so that every patient has the opportunity to live a longer, healthier

life while honoring the memory of those we have lost.
